Established in Motomachi, Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo with the purpose of selling industrial chemicals, oils and fats products, fuels, insulation materials, etc.

May, 1950

Opened Osaka Sales Office (now Osaka Branch).

Oct, 1952

Opened Fukui Sub-branch (now Fukui Sales Group).

Dec, 1958

Opened Nagoya Sub-branch (now Nagoya Branch).

Oct, 1959

Opened Sapporo Sales Office (now Hokkaido Sales Office).

1960~

Started handling non-ferrous metals, construction materials, various machinery, and sundries.

Apr, 1967

Opened Kyushu Sales Office.

Aug, 1968

Constructed and relocated the head office building in Akasaka, Minato-ku.

Apr, 1980

Opened Toyama Sales Office (now Toyama Sales Group).

May, 1988

Opened the Matsumoto Sales Office.

Apr, 1990

Opened Hokuriku Branch.

Showa Kosan (Thailand) Co., LTD. established in Bangkok.

Showa Kosan (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. established in Shanghai, China.

Head Office and Nagoya Branch acquired ISO14001 certification.

Net sales exceeded ¥70 billion.

Established the Showa Kosan Group Declaration of Corporate Behavior.
